The Ten Luxury Brands With Social Media Savvy

Luxury Daily has just released a list of the top 10 brands using social media in the second quarter of 2012. The list includes hotels, fashion label brands, luxury cars and high-end department stores.

“Brands are really trying to step it up and do things that are unique and engaging for longer periods of time,” said Luxury Daily reporter Tricia Carr in an interview. Carr now sees marketers doing week-long, month-long or even campaigns that last a full year. For example, Carr noted a 365 day social media campaign currently underway by Mandarin Oriental which daily names a reason why customers should come to New York City and stay at their property.

Carr would also like to see more questioning by social marketers of their social media base to trigger more fan interaction and engagement.

Here is the list of the top 10 in alphabetical order:

Barneys New York
Bergdorf Goodman
Christian Dior
Four Seasons
Harrods
Hugo Boss
Jimmy Choo
Land Rover
Mandarin Oriental
Michael Kors
