
UK domestic violence organization Refuge has teamed up with a London-based advertising agency for a compelling public service announcement via YouTube. The chilling video is Ad Age’s Creativity Pick of the Day and shows vlogger and makeup artist Lauren Luke’s “tips” on how to cover up bruises sustained from physical abuse.
The makeup “tutorial” ends abruptly with a black video screen with the following statistic: 65% of women who suffer domestic violence keep it hidden. Don’t cover it up.
