If Paul Ryan is looking to promote the Romney/Ryan “brand” through social media channels, perhaps he should try doing so on a site other than Quora? The Republican Vice Presidential nominee and so-called right wing policy wonk wrote a six paragraph piece earlier this morning lambasting President Barack Obama’s “misguided policies and failed leadership” on Quora, but Ryan’s writings was only viewed by 200 people in the first hour and received one sole comment, according to an article on Mashable.com earlier today. On the other hand, Obama’s recent Reddit appearance captured 865,092 visitors in the first hour, up from 518,312 on Reddit prior to Obama’s interview.
Despite the poor Quora showing thus far, a Romney/Ryan campaign source says there are plans to use Quora more in the future as part of their digital voter outreach. The one comment on Ryan’s posting was by Quora user Ulysse Sabbag, who challenged Ryan on unemployment numbers and cited a chart by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
