KFC Targets UK and Irish Females with New Social Media Campaign

KFC has just unveiled a hilarious social media campaign for the first time targeting UK women, according to an article on Marketing Magazine.  The campaign is centered the slogan it doesn’t matter if-the justifications that women use when failing to eat healthy.  Our personal favorite excuses from the YouTube video include it doesn’t count if it is organic or it doesn’t count if it has celery in it.

“Our first major social campaign provides us with a light-hearted mechanic to engage directly with young adult females, and gives us a chance to change their perception of KFC,” said Jennelle Tilling, UK and Ireland vice-president for marketing at the House that Colonel Sanders built.

The fast-food chicken brand encourages video viewers to share their “it doesn’t count” stories on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
